Is Your Church Petitioning for Personhood Today?

Before I jump into today’s topic, let me first say thank you to the more than 250 prolifers on the Treasure Coast who participated in today’s March for Life! Please e-mail me your photos of the event. I may use one of your photos on the www.SOHLTC.com March for Life Treasure Coast report!

Is Your Church Petitioning for Personhood Today?

Petitioning for Personhood Florida's ProLife Constitutional Amendment to End Abortion

Personhood Petitioning

The 14th Amendment reads in part, “nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law” but doesn’t define who a person is. In the majority decision from the Supreme Court case Roe v Wade, Justice Blackmun wrote, “(If the) suggestion of personhood [of the preborn] is established, the [abortion rights] case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment.” The Personhood Amendment will define all humans as persons from their biological beginning. The Personhood Amendment will be a direct challenge to Roe v Wade and will end abortion!

But first we must get it on the ballot. To do so in Florida, we need nearly 700,000 validated signatures. To accomplish that, we need your help to spread the word to your family, friends, neighbors, church members, and with your community, and yes, we need your church to petition for personhood.

Personhood Florida is asking pastors to preach a prolife sermon and collect petition signatures for Personhood FL’s pro-life constitutional petition which will give constitutional rights to preborn children and protect the sick and elderly. Sermon notes, power point presentations, and personhood petitions are available at http://www.PersonhoodFL.com. The sad fact is that abortion exists in America and in Florida because the Church allows it to exist. It is time that we fulfill our Biblical responsibility and end abortion! Please ask your church leadership to stand for life and petition for personhood so that we can end abortion!

Pastor Bryan Longworth, Covenant Tabernacle

Pastor Bryan Longworth

Pastor Bryan Longworth serves as the associate pastor at Covenant Tabernacle in Port St. Lucie, FL,  as the director of Personhood Florida, a prolife organization working to pass the Florida Personhood Amendment that will end abortion in FL, and as the director of SOHL, Sanctity of Human Life of the Treasure Coast. Longworth continues to be involved in the pro-life movement and in calling the church and our nation to repentance. The church and America needs revival and reformation like never before. The blood of over 55 million children cries from the ground for vengeance, and God will avenge! God send us a true move of God lest we perish in our iniquity!

40 Days Report: 40 Prolifers Pray for Moms to Choose Life

40 PEOPLE AT 40 DAYS

From 6 a.m. – 5 p.m. on this past Saturday, about 40 pro-lifers came to the intersection of Life and Death to pray for Life. At 6 a.m., about 12 prayer warriors arrived, including 6 high school students, prayed that the 5 moms entering the abortion mill would have a change of heart and spare themselves and their child in the womb from the horrors of abortion.  At 9:00 a.m., Pastor Bryan Longworth of Covenant Tabernacle led prayer while the moms left the abortuary, minus their children. The saddest moment was when one of the young moms, a middle school student, was literarally carried out by her parents (the babies grandparents). I always find it amazing that someone who carried her child in her womb for 9 months could take that same child to abort the child in her womb. Pray for the conversion of the parents as well as for the middle-schooler, since they are the adults so have more to answer for in front of God.

At 9:30, Lisa Buss, Director of the Pregnancy Care Center located in Stuart, arrived and opened the Pregnancy Care Center here in Ft. Pierce for those who wanted to pray in the Center’s temporary prayer room. Respect Life Director, Judy Wheeler, and the lady’s from St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in PSL were there to pray the Rosary, although they chose to stay outside and brave the heat. As time got later and the day got hotter, participants from Vero to Stuart kept the prayer going inside the PCC, with a break around noon for nourishment and fellowship. In addition to Executive Director Anne Lotierzo generously supplying the troops with some food and drinks, she also gave tours to anyone new to the PCC. One of the prayer warriors, Brenda McMenamin, was so dedicated that she came out at 6 a.m. and came back in the afternoon to pray more. The day ended up with 5 members of the Lee family praying and finishing off some of the goodies, which is how it should be because families are really what we are really fighting for.

Thank you for all who participated and a special thanks to Anne and Lisa for hosting such a wonderful event.

***It’s not too late to sign up to pray at home or at the abortuary, or fast during 40 Days. Sign up at www.40daysforlife.com/stlucie or jimthoma@comcast.net (772-240-6186). You can also RSVP at Facebook. We have over 100 people participating so far, but can always use more.
